FIELD TO FOOD
Students of class 8 visited the Indian Institute of Food Processing Technologyon 16th September, 2017 as part of Educational Trip. The IIFPT is located on a 15-acre campus in Thanjavur . Students had a good prospect to come across numerous Departments and Laboratories like: Department of Food Engineering, Food Packaging, Food Safety- Quality and Testing, Primary Processing, Storage and Handling and Department of Incubation Centre along with the Modern Bakery Unit which was the most engaging one for the Students visited.
This visit has also paved the way for the students to take up a course and establish a profession or business through Food Processing Technology in future.
