Report on Organic farming

In our school we conduct Organic farming classes for grade VII students. The resource persons are Mr. Sabapathy and Mr. Assai Thambi who visit our school every week to conduct the Organic farming classes for students and our teachers guide along with them. Resource persons are invited from the field of agriculture who facilitate them theoretically and practically to have hands on experience. Students learn about different types of soil, sowing of seeds and soil test. They also learn about the uses and types of fertilizers. They are also taught about the ways of producing organic manure. Certain types of greens are grown here at school and consumed by the students. They are also provided with seeds to grow plants at home. Students enjoy Organic farming classes and learn about farming along with their academics which will help them in their future and create awareness on healthy ways of farming.
