The festival of lights was triggered off to a colourful start on the 26th of October in our school. An enchanting song, on the ways of celebrating Diwali, to the accompaniment of our budding flute and `keyboard artists, our troupe of dancers performing traditional Kolattam, speeches delivered in Hindi and English emphasising the importance of the festival and a skit in Tamil spreading the message of overcoming evil and establishing justice in the world were some of the programmes that entertained the audience. Students were also instructed about the safety measures to be adopted while bursting crackers. The spirit of Diwali reached its feverish pitch with the celebrations at school.
