Aksharabhyasam -18-19

As per Indian Culture the Vidyarambh or Aksharabhyasam is done at the age of 2 to 4. We had a complete ritual of the day in our campus on 4^th June, 2018. Aksharabhyasam - the amalgamation - 'akshar' meaning letter and 'abyasam' meaning practice. The day a child is given the commencement of education and also the starting of writing for a child is known as 'Aksharabhyasam'. During the rituals the tiny tots were seated with their parents and wrote the alphabet on the grain slates. It was a moment of pride for both- the Parents and the Teachers in welcoming the new admitted little ones into the School campus. The ceremony ended with the presentation of a writing kit to the little ones.
